Even though there is a trend toward e-books and tablet computers, there is still nothing like holding a book in your hand. And having a classic of literature and having an early edition would be even better. Now, this might be a little on the expensive side, but having something like this would be really cool.

Most people believe that when you graduate college, you get a job and that’s it. There are some, like myself, who think the real education begins after that, since it is driven by personal desire. There are a few books in this realm of what some call “self-help” and this is one of the standards. You couple this with Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People” and you get a pretty decent 1-2 punch in the realm of personal development.

If you want a cookbook that has a recipe for everyone in your household, then you need to grab this book by the Pioneer Woman herself, Ree Drummond.
In “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl,” Ree Drummond provides step by step recipes in categories like Starters (appetizers), In the Morning (breakfast), Dinner (lunch), Supper (dinner), and Sweets (dessert). There are also bonus sections like Sunday Dinner and Cowboy Dinner Party.
You won’t be disappointed… I wasn’t!

My daughter has the LeapFrog Tag Reading System and absolutely loves it; even now that she can read on her own. The Tag Reading System is a well-made toy that offers hundreds of hours of play, a terrific lineup of favorite books, and a different experience every time. While it will never replace reading to children, it is a great way to increase the amount of time they spend enjoying books.
