Lava lamps a trippy enough but then you start adding the Reggae element of Bob Marley and you have a match made in lava lamp heaven. These things come in various colors and even have rainbow tinted glass. I had a standard lava lamp when I was younger, nothing like this.

There were two painting shows on PBS when I was a kid that I absolutely loved watching. There was a German fellow and then there was Bob Ross. I always found watching him to be therapeutic. Now, I can watch him whenever I want with collections of his painting shows on DVD. I can feel the serenity now.

You know, I don’t have a kid of my own and my sister is the only person with one on the way, so I look at this stuff periodically. I just find it hilarious that Fisher-Price is making a line of cradle swings and giving it the name of Zen collection. How many babies do you know that meditate?

If you ever watched an episode of Mystery Scine Theater 3000, you know what this will be all about. The same people who originally brought you that show have teamed up to do the same thing in movie form. Cinematic Titanic is the same concept with a different presentation. There’s no spaceship or skits, just the cast riffing on bad movies. They’ve even taken the show on tour across the country. You can get an autographed photo of these comedic geniuses for only $10.

The wife and I are thinking of watching a movie and having some popcorn as a snack (big surprise, huh?). We recently went to Galena, IL and bought some of their delcious gourmet popcorn. When I got home I found out they have an online store. They sell the popcorn by the bag and by the tin. The tins are really cool, with a great nostalgic look to them. Guess where I’m getting my popcorn from now on.

I’m a big fan of the Discovery Channel, so in addition to Pawn Stars, I really have fun watching Mythbusters. They scientifically try to determine if urban legends are true or not, plus Kari Byron is really cute. Well, there is a license plate frame with their signature “Busted” emblazoned on the bottom. I could see myself driving with one of those on my car.

I love TV shows with a historical element, and Pawn Stars on the history channel is one of the best. When I first watched it, I found the guys who ran the store to be somewhat annoying. Yet as I watched more, I got to really like each one as an individual, even Chumlee. Now, histroychannel.com offers the four main stars in bobblehead form. I think this would be a great gift for anyone who is a fan of the show.

If you grew up with Springsteen and the E-Street Band, you’ll probably dig this 2 DVD set of a live concert in 2009. I loved the band’s chemistry from Max Weinberg to Clarence Clemens and of course the boss’ gravel laden voice belting out lyrics while playing his guitar. You get almost three hours of music and concert footage from a legendary band.
$11.99 at Amazon.com.

Not quite the gift giving site, but if your man builds aircraft for a hobby, send him to Avmro.com for airplane parts & supplies. They have been in business for 39+ years and bring a lot of experience to the table. My hubby ran across the site while doing some research and could help but rave about what he saw. “All you see are top-quality brands on our website. We only offer the best aircraft products to our aviation maintenance customers.”

Who didn’t love the game Operation as a child?? It made you feel like you were really good at something.
Well, now it’s back in a new Shrek 4 edition. Shreks not feeling too great so fix him up before its too late! Humongous fungus and onion breath have made Shrek into a mess! His toe is jammed, his heart is burning, the slugs and grubs keep his tummy churning.
If you have children that *heart* Shrek, this game is bound to be a huge hit!
