A Mom’s Baby Crib Decor Perfection

Well, that baby bump is a little more than a baby bump now, so I think it is probably a good time to start getting the baby room set up :p I have been putting it off for so long because I didn’t want to jinx anything! I don’t know if it was all of my friends and family telling me that I needed to get started on it, or the realization that I am actually due pretty soon… or both that got me actually going on getting that baby crib decor and nursery, baby ready.

I like to think that I have a bit of a different style. I tend to stray away from the fashion trends that are going around. I like to take some of the trends and turn it my own way, or just completely go another rout… without looking completely insane! For my baby’s room, I wanted to do something really special of course. This is where my baby is going to be growing up, so I want it to be a place he or she will love, have fun in, and feel absolutely comfortable in. Because of this, I didn’t want to go over board with the colors, and maybe do something a little more with the patterns and prints.

My sister some of her kids clothes from Naartjie Kids, and I totally love them because they are a little different and not your typical kids clothes. When I found out they had bedding, I was pretty excited that I could stop stressing and putting off the nursery and actually have fun getting all of the room together.

We wanted to wait until the day of the birth to find out the sex of the baby. This does add a bit of a stress on what color we are going to chose for the baby room. When I saw that Naartjie had a gray chevron print bedding set I couldn’t have asked for a better option. Chevron is trending right now, but it isn’t something you see done for babies’ rooms. How perfect for me, right? chevron baby bedding

I bought all of the baby crib decor because I just loved it all together as is, and then I bought a couple of the extra pieces to go along with the room and tie it all together. After I had the room painted, furniture in, baby crib decor and other accessories, I was able to find a couple of my own pieces that just added a little bit of me and his or her family into the room. I totally love the combination of the chevron print next to the zoo print. They really compliment each other and really give this baby’s room a look like no other.

I am seriously way too excited to bring home the baby to his or her new nursery to grow up in! Please tell me about your nursery designing experiences! I would love to hear them!

Stators for Dad’s Truck?

My Dad just recently bought a new truck, not with my Mom’s complete approval. It is a huge diesel truck that my Dad talked my Mom into thinking he needed. When he picked it up from the dealership he noticed a full tank of gas. However, it wasn’t diesel gas, just regular gas.

You can imagine how bad the person that filled up the tank felt. As you probably know, a diesel truck can’t run on regular gas. It was a huge mistake on the dealership and my Dad continues to have problems from it. He just brought it in before Christmas to get fixed, we aren’t sure what’s wrong with it now thinking maybe stators, but time will tell. You can imagine how happy my parents are with this purchase!

Salon Review | Waxing in Huntington Beach

Waxing has evolved over the years and is now a common practice in most beauty salons and day spas. But who offers the best for the lowest price? I get my eyebrows, bikini line and upper lip waxed on a regular basis, I know it doesn’t sound too flattering. I have gone around to 3 different salons in the Huntington Beach area to locate the best waxing service for my buck. I’m a smart shopper, and when I say smart shopper I mean I am a coupon lady. See what I discovered, what I paid and what salon is the best to get waxing in Huntington Beach at!

1. ZenSpaOC: ZenSpaOC is known for their facials, massage and waxing services. I have come here before for a facial but never for a waxing. I am a bit particular on the waxing process due to my sensitive skin. I did feel comfortable there but the bikini line waxing was very painful and left my sensitive skin burning. To say the least I won’t be back for waxing.

Service Rating: 6/10

Price: $40 for a Bikini: basic

Price Rating: 8/10

2. CloudMover Day Spa: I have been here a few times and love it due to the cheaper pricing and groupons. The service and quality is above average with cheaper prices, which is exactly what I’m looking for. For waxing purposes this day spa hit the nail on the head. My sensitive skin wasn’t affected and the price was a good deal. I got an eyebrow wax here for only $15!

Service Rating: 8/10

Price: $15 for Eyebrow Wax

Price Rating: 10/10

3. Skin So Sweet: this salon performed a sugaring waxing service. What is sugaring? Rather than applying wax and ripping off with strips, special wax is directly applied and gives skin a smoother surface. I feel it is better for more sensitive skin. Normally my upper lip is the most sensitive part of my skin. I was a bit red after the service, but it faded away and I noticed the hair strayed away for longer than traditional waxing. I paid only $10 and the service was exceptional.

Service Rating: 9/10

Price: $10 for Lip Wax

Price Rating: 9/10

Why Your Should Market Your Business Using Exhibit Manufacturers

If you own a business or work for a company, chances are you have been exposed to exhibit marketing. What exactly is exhibit marketing? Exhibit marketing allows your company to be exposed to many types of businesses through trade shows using a modular exhibit (see photo below). Exhibits are highly customized and can be a little intimidating, if you have never been exposed to them before. But, exhibit marketing is among the top ways marketers receive more sales, gain new customers and create a higher brand awareness.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a genius to know how to market with exhibit manufactures. Although it may seem overwhelming, exhibits allow for your business to physically show customers what your business is all about. It helps market, and without having to really do anything. In today’s marketing world there are many avenues that need to be planned out in order to achieve the strongest results. You must market online, through trade shows, TV advertising, radio ads and so on. All of this adds up quick and can be expensive so it’s important to narrow down which advertising mediums represent your company best. Think about what your company’s objectives, marketing strategy and goals are before applying different types of advertising. Although trade shows may be expensive, they allow for the exposure to new customers, added brand awareness and higher revenues.

Khloe’s Infertility Battle

I’m not sure if you are all fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but if you are, the finale show is this Sunday September 16! I used to be a big Kardashian fan but then sort of fizzled out because they were getting to big into the fame and Kim starting to annoy me.

Just recently I started watching the show again and after seeing Kourtney give birth, the family enroll in an emotional therapy treatment and Khloe’s difficulty getting pregnant, it makes them real again.

I can’t imagine being in Khloes shoes and wanting a baby so badly but being unable to have one. I don’t know if you saw it but in the last episode she found out she wasn’t even ovulating and was pretty upset about it. In the upcoming finale Khloe will go through more hardships regarding her pregnancy troubles, which I can’t wait to see. Although being infertile is heartbreaking there are many resources for women such as choosing the right “fertile” diet, checking your basil temperature and predicting your ovulation. I hope Khloe, and all women, nothing but fertility! May your eggs ovulate!
