Last night, my man and I enjoyed a date night. We went to dinner and a movie and had a great time! It was so nice to get out of the house and we both really enjoyed ourselves. We have this rule that one of us chooses a movie and the other chooses the place to eat! He chose Olive Garden, which meant that I got to pick the movie! We went to “If I Stay”, which just came out in theaters yesterday.
This was a fantastic movie and we both really liked it. If you have time in the next few weeks to go see a movie, I recommend this one! There is a trailer and a full movie synapsis at my go-to movie website, Fandango. Check it out!
Doesn’t it seem like all of the best movies come out during the summer? Some of the best hot, humid evenings can be spent in a nice, cool movie theater with a box of popcorn.
One of the movies that I really want to see is “And So It Goes“. Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton co-star in this and they’re both actors that I love! According to IMDB, the description is: “A self-absorbed realtor enlists the help of his neighbor when he’s suddenly left in charge of the granddaughter he never knew existed until his estranged son drops her off at his home.”
The previews I’ve seen on TV look pretty funny! I can’t wait to check it out.
Summer is a great time to check out the latest and greatest movies. There are always such great ones in the theater, and lately it seems like there are a ton of good new releases on DVD and Blu Ray to rent.
This last week, I rented the movie “Non-Stop” starring Liam Neeson. This is a fantastic movie that kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I don’t want to give anything away (no spoilers here!) in case you haven’t seen the movie yourself. I will say that Liam Neeson absolutely kills it in every action movie that I’ve seen him in. He shines in that role and type of movie, and he did not disappoint in this one!
It seems like summer is the season when all of the best movies come out in the movie theater. After reading the book by John Green, I just had to check out “The Fault in Our Stars” this weekend and I’m really, really glad I did! This is probably one of my new favorite movies and I’m actually thinking of going to see it again next weekend with my sister.
This is definitely a movie that pulls at your heart-strings and you can see why if you check out the brief movie description on iMDb, “Hazel and Gus are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel’s other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.”
So I have to admit that I’m not always up to date when it comes to popular things in the entertainment world. I just recently started “Grey’s Anatomy” on Netflix, which is YEARS after everybody else fell in love with it. I have yet to read “50 Shades of Grey”, and I most definitely haven’t watched a full episode of “The Big Bang Theory”. I feel like I’m decades older than I really am when it comes to entertainment (as well as my 9pm bedtime).
However, when people started talking about “Divergent” I came to the realization that I’ve already read the book! The movie is coming out a week from day, and if you’ve seen the previews for it, you probably think it looks pretty darn good! My advice is to get your hands on the copy of the book and try to read it in the next week… they say that the book is always better than the movie!
