Do You Fondue?

I picked up this fun fondue pot for a pretty decent price. It is so much fun, not to mention yummy! This could keep us occupied for hours… or until the chocolate runs out. I was always got tired of the old plain dessert, so i wanted to shake it up a bit. This is the perfect thing to try out, our family loves it!

Macarons

I never knew these were considered such a delicacy until real recently. Macarons are not really cookies, if I’m correct, someone said they are more like small cakes. This collection is two dozen strong, with three of eight different flavors including apricot and vanilla rose.

Tobasco Chocolate

We’ve all seen the chocolate balls that have a heavy dose of orange flavor and cut into wedges to look like an orange. I personally hate these things. I think the orange taste is too much like medicine to be enjoyable. Not only would I eat tobasco flavored chocolate, I would make sure to offer it to some of my “friends” on an unmarked plate and see how they react.

Bacon bar

There’s the old adage that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. While that may not be as true today, one food most guys love is bacon. It seems like adding bacon to any food amps the flavor level. So, why not add something to bacon? That’s the idea behind chocolate bacon bars. Strips of salty bacon covered in sweet chocolate; both your man and you will live it.

Chocolate covered strawberries

I could just leave this post at the title alone. If you really want to “score” some points with a girl, then a basket of chocolate covered strawberries is the way to go. Strawberries and chocolate are both considered Aphrodisiacs, so the chances of you getting lucky are pretty good with this sweet treat.

Gummi Bear

There was always a joke amongst my friends that someone with a name starting with the letters “E,” “W” or “M” could buy a monogrammed bag of M&M candies. Well, now you can get personalized M&Ms no matter what your name starts with. Not only can you get names, but you can get images added to each individual candy. Of course, what would be really cool would be to have a large image broken up with each candy having a small portion of the overall image.

My father-in-law is a simple man. He’s not simple in intellect; he’s a master craftsman and teacher of history, so he is one of the smartest men I know, but he has simple tastes when it comes to gifts. His ideal gift is a case of Coke and some peanut M&M’s. So, for Valentine’s Day, we’re thinking this might be the perfect gift for him. It’s a candy lover’s dream come true. Walking Food Tour

My significant other and I love food. Of course, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t. But the adventure of finding a new restaurant or new recipe is very exciting for both of us. If you and your sweetheart love to experiment and eplore different cuisines, you may want to consider trying a walking tour. Since we live near Chicago, it just made sense to see what they have to offer, but other cities offer a similar tour of local menus and food.
